Valarie has been with Far Western since October 2018 as our Logistics Coordinator. After high school, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University. After teaching English in Japan for 2 years, she started working in the food industry, where she handled raw material procurement, agricultural land purchases, inventory control, production, and operations (specifically dealing in the olive oil trade). Her skills in tracking containers of olive oil and raw materials over the oceans was a great experience to now be able to “track” Far Western crews, coming and going from fieldwork.
Valarie handles all aspects of logistics for our Field Crews departing from the Davis office, including hotels, per diem, rentals, and flights. She also handles vendor relations with about half of the hotels in CA 😊, as well as backhoe, porta potty, shoring, and vehicle rental relationships.….and too many other tasks to list.
