Summer received her B.A. in Anthropology in 2022 and her M.A. in Anthropology, with a focus in archaeology, from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2024. Her master’s thesis explored dietary changes during the Late Holocene on California’s Northern Channel Islands and how these shifts contributed to increased population density and cultural complexity in the region. Summer has also conducted fieldwork in the Upper Galilee of northern Israel and has been working in CRM since 2023. Her interests in anthropology include dietary reconstruction, zooarchaeology, and human settlement patterns in coastal environments.
