Tod Hildebrandt has been working as a professional archaeologist since 2006. He began his career with Far Western as an unpaid intern in 1998. He received his Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz in 2006 and his Master’s degree in cultural resources management from Utah State University in 2012. His regional archaeological interests focus on the Great Basin and western Sierra, with an emphasis on prehistoric land-use patterns in high elevation contexts. His research in these areas takes advantage of perspectives derived from evolutionary ecology and foraging theory. He has authored or co-authored numerous technical reports, and presents his research at professional conferences.
