Sadie joined Far Western in 2024. After receiving her B.A. in biological anthropology with a concentration in forensic anthropology from Radford University in 2020, Sadie pursued her M.A. in biological anthropology at California State University, Chico. Her thesis assessed the place and feasibility of advocacy and activism in forensic anthropology, and she graduated in 2024. Throughout her academic and archaeological career, Sadie has gained invaluable archaeological experience through field surveys, excavations, and monitoring projects across California. She has also participated in various forensic archaeological surveys and excavations throughout California. She regularly volunteers her expertise in annual summer excavations in Germany for the recovery of missing-in-action military personnel from World War II.
As a trained biological anthropologist and bioarchaeologist, Sadie has considerable experience with the recovery, identification, and analysis of human remains. Sadie has participated in bioarchaeological fieldwork and lab work in Northern California, the Caribbean, and Greece. Sadie has developed an interest in and passion for public anthropology, along with forensic archaeology, osteology, and applied forensic anthropology.
