Maggie joined the Far Western team as an archaeological technician in 2019 and now works as a staff archaeologist for the Bay Area branch. Maggie received her B.A. in anthropology with a minor in Spanish from Sonoma State University in 2013. She then received a M.A. in biological anthropology from Texas State University in 2023. At Far Western and other CRM firms she has participated on various field surveys, excavations, and monitoring projects throughout California and Texas for a wide range of clients. Maggie has also conducted field work in the Andean highlands of Peru and Boeotia, Greece.
While attending Texas State University she participated on Operation Identification, a humanitarian project aimed at identification and repatriation of unidentified individuals who have perished along the Mexico/U.S. border in South Texas. Her master’s thesis focused on the age component of the biological profile looking at subadult dental age estimation methods. Her interests in anthropology are bioarchaeology, isotope studies, osteology, and human evolution.
