Alexx Martinez is a laboratory assistant and staff archaeologist for Far Western’s Desert Branch. Alexx is actively involved in all aspects of our laboratory procedures as well as data processing. She guides collections through curation to museum submittal. Alexx is also part of the XRF team. Her role includes materials preparation, data processing, XRF scanning, and element characterization of obsidian, ceramics, and other materials. Alexx received her M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2022. Her graduate research focused on the application of XRF technology on ceramic material from the Southwest.
