Ashley Parker is a Principal and Tribal Coordinator at Far Western, where she has worked since 2018. With 20 years of experience as an archaeologist and ethnographer in California and the Great Basin, Ashley brings a deep commitment to preserving cultural heritage and fostering collaboration.
She leads Far Western’s tribal coordination team and serves as treasurer on the board of the Far Western Foundation. Her work focuses on project management, tribal engagement, and ethnographic and archival research, including interviews, oral histories, and Traditional Cultural Place evaluations.
Recent work has focused on managing archaeological compliance for wildfire recovery efforts in Northern California and for energy-sector initiatives, always prioritizing meaningful partnerships with Native American tribes. She is permitted by the Bureau of Land Management as a Principal Investigator in California, Nevada, and the Great Basin regions of Oregon and Utah.
