Kathleen (Katie) is a Staff Archaeologist at Far Westerns main office in Davis. She graduated with a B.A. in Evolutionary Anthropology from UC Davis in 2012 and is currently working towards her M.A. in Anthropology at CSU Sacramento with her thesis research focusing on ground stone technologies in the Eastern Sierra. She has worked for the United States Forest Service and multiple cultural resource management firms throughout California, Nevada, and Montana as a technician and crew chief for testing, data recovery, survey, coring, monitoring, database management, analysis, and curation projects. Her current research includes distribution and use wear analysis of ground stone technologies, ethnographic basketry analysis, and sexual division of labor within the Pleistocene/Holocene Great Basin.
