Sarah Rice is a Senior Archaeologist at Far Western’s Desert Branch in Henderson, Nevada. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009 and her Master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Nevada in 2015. She has been working as a professional archaeologist since 2006, with fieldwork experience in Nevada, California, Utah, and Oregon on a wide variety of survey, testing, and data recovery projects. Her interests include geoarchaeology, Paleoindian archaeology and theory, spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems, mapping, and cultural resources management law and guidelines.
