Tucker is a Principal Investigator at Far Western’s Great Basin Branch in Carson City, Nevada. He received his B.A. from the University of Washington in 1993 and his M.S. from Central Washington University in 2003. With fieldwork experience beginning in 1987 excavating alpine village features in California’s White Mountains, Tucker has conducted inventory, testing, and mitigation projects in California, the Great Basin, the Columbia Plateau, and Washington’s Cascade Range. His interests include archaeological systematics, cultural systems (subsistence, community, and settlement as dimensions of variability), survey method and technique, and mapping.
