Nathan Stevens, M.A.
Nathan has been a professional archaeologist since 1997, joining Far Western in 2011. He received his Master’s Degree in anthropology from Sacramento State University in 2005 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at University of California, Davis. His research interests include the archaeology of prehistoric California and Great Basin hunter-gatherers, evolutionary ecology, organization and evolution of technology, subsistence, mobility, cultural transmission, and cultural change. His methodological interests include lithic use-wear analysis, obsidian studies, and GIS. In addition to writing numerous technical reports, Nathan’s publications include papers in the Journal of Archaeological Science, the Journal of California and Great Basin Anthropology, and California Archaeology.
