Without a doubt, some of the most challenging cultural resource programs and regulatory environments are associated with large-scale energy projects, including geothermal facilities, gas pipelines, electrical-transmission lines, and the burgeoning fields of solar- and wind-power generation. Over the last 25 years, Far Western has served as principal cultural resources technical consultant for some of the largest energy development and relicensing projects in California, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest, allowing our clients to proceed with permitting and construction in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Far Western is a great contractor to work with; their management is responsive and timely in the response to requests.  They take a reasonable approach to cultural resources management and look for innovative approaches to completing projects.  At the same time Far Western is open and honest about cultural resources compliance, not glossing over issues that could be costly in the long run if ignored.  The staff and management are very cooperative to work with and have a strong initiative to get projects done...Far Western always provides exceptional end products.  Reports are well received by our partnering and regulatory agencies.
